Before last year, I had only woken up for sunrises when I really had to; ie. going to the airport for a flight. I never really went out of my way to see sunrises. I thought sunsets were close enough. Living on the East Coast of the US, the only chance of seeing the sun come up over the ocean's horizon is to wake up super early.
I started doing travel photography at the beginning of last year. This whole blog is devoted to sharing my experiences. While traveling to Iceland and Costa Rica were fun and beautiful, I sometimes forget there is beauty thirty minutes down the highway from my house.
I took these shots yesterday morning. There are really few things that beats watching the sun come up over the ocean. Each sunrise is a little bit different. Sometimes the sky is a warm, golden color. Other times there are streaks of pink covering the sky. But regardless of the colors, each sunrise doesn't disappoint. I've been making it a habit to get more photos like this, as they all usually turn out different. I hope you enjoy.
