[ENG-SPN] The mystery of the gargoyles / El misterio de las gárgolas

Many authors tend to agree, based on ancient traditions, in mentioning that the famous Solomon, apart from being one of the wisest kings in History, was also a true expert in Occultism, to the point that, among his magical abilities, there was also that of conjuring and controlling various kinds of spirits and demons to put them at their service.

The most famous case attributed to him refers to the demon Asmodeus, a metaphysical entity that Solomon conjured and enslaved, placing him as guardian of his famous temple. Possibly, this is where part of the mystery of the gargoyles comes from, which, apart from their technical function to evacuate rainwater, also had a symbolic function as guardians of the great cathedrals.

Suelen coincidir muchos autores, basándose en las antiguas tradiciones, en mencionar que el famoso Salomón, aparte de ser uno de los reyes más sabios de la Historia, fue también un auténtico experto en Ocultismo, hasta el punto, de que, entre sus habilidades mágicas, se encontraba también la de conjurar y controlar a diversas clases de espíritus y demonios para ponerlos a su servicio.

El caso más famoso que se le atribuye, hace referencia al demonio Asmodeo, entidad metafísica a la que conjuró y esclavizó Salomón, situándolo como guardián de su famoso templo. Posiblemente, de aquí provenga parte del misterio de las gárgolas, las cuales, aparte de su función técnica para evacuar el agua de las lluvias, tenían también una función simbólica como guardianes de las grandes catedrales.
