I had shared about the fishing story of a Pelican in a recent post and how birds are adept at this natural skill. Well the furry avian fella was not alone, and there was a stork in the vicinity that was also hunting for food. It was nice to watch them wade through the water and go about their daily routine of catching fish, and I did spend a while staring at them while they circled the wooden logs in the water a couple of times.
Birds have been blessed with beaks and one of the things they use it for is to catch fish. They also use their beaks to feed their young, to attract mates during courtship and this unique anatomical structure is also used for the aggressive purpose of fighting.
If you had to choose, which one would you pick - the pelican or the stork?
