This is a picture I took of Pashupati Nath, (Shiva) in Kathmandu, Nepal. Considered as one of the holiest sites of Hindu pilgrimage, this temple is mostly built of Gold, Silver and Wood. Just below the temple you can see a river flowing (River Bagmati) the river that started the Kathmandu Valley civilization, which also serves as a crematorium for the deceased Hindu people. Shiva is considered the destroyer, thus, the dead people are brought at his doorsteps and burned, also because it is written in the scriptures that he enjoys the scent of burning dead bodies.
