Preikestolen (NOK. Preikestolen) - a giant rock with an almost flat top-site measuring approximately 25 by 25 metres, is located opposite the plateau Kjerag in Norway. Preikestolen is literally translated as "pulpit" and in English is called Pulpit Rock (Rock-chair). There is a splendid view, whereby the rock is known as one of the main natural attractions in Norway.

Rock walls along the edges of the fjord are located at an altitude of 1 kilometer above the water level and the maximum depth of the fjord is 400 meters.

The Lysefjord stretches 42 kilometers, but because of the difficult terrain on its shores there are only two settlements — Lysebotn and Forsan. Enjoy the beauty of the fjords is possible by paying a trip to tour the ship.

The path to Preikestolen is complicated, and in places the trail is very steep.

Usually the ascent takes approximately 2 hours but for the experienced traveler can take about an hour.

 To rise have this paths:

The rock and the mountain shared a small slit with a width of 20-25 cm, which according to the annual measurements, is increased so that the Pulpit will ever fall in the sea.
