Santorini, the dream island

 Once, many years ago, I saw the pictures of Santorini. I was shocked by the beauty of this island and the charm of white houses with blue roof. From that moment I dreamed to visit Santorini. The easiest and most affordable way was to go to Crete, and from there to take a trip to the coveted island.

And now, on the day of departure we arrived at the port. Handsome catamaran was already waiting for us

2. Before the trip, refrain from alcohol and try to eat Breakfast, but do not overeat!,otherwise it may aggravate the situation.

4. Try during the movement of the catamaran to read, not watch movies, not look out the window. And best of all sleep!) We decided to combine the two methods, taking Tamino and sleep!) But the sea was condescending to us, there were no waves. We have included MP3 players, sweetly fell asleep and two hours later arrived at the port of Santorini.

 Hotel in Santorini we had booked in advance back in Russia. A key parameter in finding the hotel was a convenient location. Chose Fira(the capital of the island), found by the reviews online the hotel Anemomilos Villa,I wrote an email to the landlady Anna. Anna answered on the trail.day said that the room would cost 45 euros for two people, and pay you on arrival. Also they provide free Shuttle service to the port and back. Before the trip I Anne wrote another letter, with a reminder that we confirm your arrival that we needed a double room and transfer. Anna replied that await us, and her husband Mr. Stavros will meet us at the port to know it will be a sign in hand with our names. 

 Arriving at the port we saw a lot of greeters, everyone was holding signs or names of tour companies or with the names of the greeters. We found Mr. Stavros, he took several people arrived on the island "Savages," and we went to the hotel. It so happened that when I arrived in the hotel the foreigners have operedelit and first went to the reception to get rooms. We're not at all worried, because the room we had booked and just a couple of days ago Anna has confirmed that everything is in order and the room saved for us. 

 When approached the front Desk, Anna announced that the offer is no more. I began to explain that I'm Jenny from Russia! That room booked! You promised!!! Anna apologized and said not to worry, supposedly Mr. Stavros will take us to another hotel. I'm SO upset that even to row did not. I was very upset, because we had pre-booked a room, and they settled instead of us "savages" from Britain. And most of all, it was a pity that the hotel we chose from a convenient location.

 I already knew on the map where the bus stop is nearby where shops and taverns. And where would you take us Mr. Stavros - is not clear. Resigned to fate-villain, dejected, we drove off with Mr. Stavros away. To our surprise we drove for very long, going down on a parallel street. 

 The name of the hotel where we brought Mr. Stavros- "Anemomilos suites". Mr Stavros said this is the second hotel which belongs to their couples. Only the numbers it all not standard, and Suite, or other accommodation. Apartments are always more expensive, but Mr. Stavros took us exactly 45 euros, as agreed with Anna when booking. 

 The apartments we REALLY liked the natural wood furniture, mini-kitchen hidden in a cupboard)

 But what we liked most, when you exit the room on the roof of the hotel was a private plunge pool. If you will book hotels on Santorini, try to choose hotels with swimming pools. Because the beaches are very far. All the hotels are located high on the mountain, and go down to the beach in this heat is not always desirable. And the pool is a great alternative. 

 For the successful settlement of Mr. Stavros offered us delicious fruit wines and asked about our plans. We planned on the first day of vacation to visit the island of Neo Kameni, it was found that Mr Stavros could sell us tickets on a tour! GREAT! Don't have to look for a travel Agency! 20 Euro each and the tickets in our hands. In addition, Mr. Stavros drove us in his car us up to the funicular, where for 4 euros, we went down to the port.

 Even in port you can go down/only be accessed three ways:

 1. walk - free, but sooo long and unbearably hot. In Santorini, there are almost no tall trees, the houses are all small, so the shade is almost there. Keep in mind that it is preferably to have a headdress.

 Well, the third way is by the funicular. A one-way ticket costs 4 euros. 

 From the cabin offers stunning views. In General, this method is the most convenient and fast. 

 Our ship was already waiting for tourists. The tour was only for English speakers, but we did not stop. As for the tour ... 

 On the way to the open sea is a small station, so everyone could bathe in the warm springs of the volcano. As asserted guide, amidst the cool sea waters next to the rocks there is warm and sometimes hot springs, taking their beginning from the bowels of the volcano. 

I could not miss this event and dove into the sea)) 

 Indeed, sometimes I felt very warm springs under the ground, they hit bottom and disgusting rusty color. Rubbing in mud I did not want the dubious pleasure))

 The volcano itself has left mixed feelings. Like nothing special, pile of rocks, 1.5 hours of lifting up to the crater on the dreadful heat 

 but what the top views of the island of Santorini and the other Islands! 

 Standing at the top, under the feet of one of the active volcanoes, and around the incredible beauty...I wear a hat and comfortable shoes, the cat.fix the legs, because the soil is hot, it is possible to "burn" the feet, and bring plenty of water. 

Back at the hotel we cooled in the pool 

and went to UW, and from there the most beautiful view of the sunset. From Fira (island's capital) to the AI bus service, go for about 15-20 minutes, the ticket price is 2 euros. 

In Ie, closer to the evening going to a lot of people, the place in cafes and restaurants occupy the two hours prior to sunset (though to dine in the restaurant with views of the sunset will be 2-3 times more expensive than usual), the other men took places on the climbing frame, borders, hotels etc.

 All white houses instantly are painted in pink color, the sky becomes very beautiful, and people happy is unreal...Goosebumps, the delight and the memory of this amazing place for the whole life) the Next day we decided to devote a leisurely walk through

 The famous beaches of Santorini, we got here. Honestly, I didn't want to spend time on the beach, albeit black sand or red. It's just beaches. So the whole day we spent his dream. My advice to you, dear tourists, plan your visit to the island for a few days. The only way to oshutit unique and full flavor of this wonderful island.
