One year ago the California desert was ablaze with widlflowers from the previous winter's rains. After a long drought, the rains had returned and the flowers showed their appreciation with an incredible superbloom. While that's not likely to happen again this spring, here is a shot from Anza-Borrego Desert State Park from last year.
