The view looking West high above the mighty Colorado River at the famous Toroweap Overlook in Grand Canyon National Park. This is the only viewpoint at which you can see the river directly below. And it is a long way down, 3000ft (910m). Toroweap, a Paiute term meaning "dry or barren valley," refers to local features, including the valley and the overlook.
