Hello there! Picking up a camera could be so exciting most especially when you are good with it. But something frustrating when you don't.
There are a lot of things you should know about photography if you are just starting whether for professional purpose or personal use. What most people do is to check the internet for online course or join a photography studio. There several places you can start am going to share one of my favorite site with you at the end of this blog.. Taking clear pictures could be exciting but good photography goes beyond having cool pictures it involving knowing fully well how to handle your equipment including settings and mainteveryce. also it involves technicality, creativity. In some cases you would be ask to cover an event but yet there so many restrictions on where to step in to take shot maybe because of the personalities involved, security purpose and so on. Your ability to device a means to take good shot really means a lot. It might not be a case of restrictions there might be othe reason depending. But in whatever situation you find yourself you should bear in mind that every pictures should communicate it's message in a more desirable way. Try as much to collect every possible details that completely define the situations.
For example when you have identify your focus, you should ask your self the question

  • what is the message behind or purpose for this photography?

  • how best can this pictures be taken.
You should also bear in mind your background and framing.

Being able to learn how the aperture, ISO and shutter speed works together to produce good and quality pictures could help you.

Here is a info graphics designed by the expert photography i like it because it helps me explain the function of every component in details.

Using a DSLR camera it easy to manipulate the exposure. The exposure here means how bright or dark your photo is.
The exposure is dependent on the
ISO ( the iso would determine the quality of your images
Aperture (the wider the aperture, the more light gets in to your camera) and the
shutter speed ( here how long the camera shutter is expose to light).

Like I said earlier there are a lot you should know and I think you should check

it really would help you start well.

I wish you success. Enjoy and have fun.

It always seems easy on the outside looking in. I always think "I could do that, easily." Lol although that might be half true, it's always more than meets the eye. Great post 🌸
