“Hina Doll’s Festival”
These Hina dolls are my Hina dolls which were kept by my mother very well in Japan. Recently she decided to donate these dolls to somebody who needs them so she sent me these pictures. I created this collage. I really appreciate that my mother kept them well and maintained them for a long time.
My Hina dolls faces are a little bit different from usual. Usually Hina dolls have mature looking faces but mine look like children. I liked their faces very much when I was young.
Hinamatsuri (雛祭り, Hina-matsuri), also called Doll's Day or Girls' Day, is a special day in Japan. Celebrated on 3 March of each year. (from Wikipedia)
Parents celebrate for their daughter’s health with family and relatives. We also have boys’ day called Children’s day in May. We have many interesting nice events for children in Japan because parents wish for their children’s health.
