A cherry

in photography •  6 years ago

Hello everybody!

It may seem like I'm all out of recipes haha, there's some truth to that, but cherries are food as well, so hopefully I have not upset my foodie followers by not posting recipes here in the last couple weeks. I promise it shall change very shortly. I have a batch of pictures to process before I can assemble them into a post, so that your and my favorite part of this blog is coming up in the next few days.

Meanwhile I have a picture of a cherry that I took yesterday while cooking tiramisu. I thought those man-made water splashes turned out nicely.
And of yeah, almost forgot . . . this is an entry to @juliank's #macrophotography Thursday photocontest, check it out if you're into it.

The photo was taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and a 40mm f/2.8 lens.
Camera settings:

Shutter speed: 1/100
Aperture - 2.8
ISO - 100

And here is another photo of them cherries. I am not so sure as to how many pictures I can submit, but if anything, this might as well be out of the contest, but it's related to I'm throwing it in here, might as well!

Brilliant photo! Even your nail polish matches. The cherries look juicy and delicious.

Thanks! I liked the way it turned out too, trying to play more with colors editing pictures!

That’s one beautiful cherry! Looks to good to eat it!

Thanks, Nancy! I ate it :D

Fantastic picture, looks like a lot of effort when into the title picture :-)

Thanks, Robert! It took me a minute to think of the title, but then I was like let it be just a cherry hahaha

Those are good looking cherries. Cherries are so expensive in Japan.... I need to visit hope just to get some!

Thank you :)
How much do they cost in Japan, do they ever get in season there? $2.98 per pound over here!

What a cool photograph. Very cool!

Thank you Crystal! :)

The first photo does have beautiful quality to it but cherries are cherries.

Cherries are cherries indeed :D

So they are....

It is not annoying I also like to see pictures of food for colors and all those characteristics so for me it is well also I love when some food is sprinkled with water and you take a picture looks very good I also like windows with drops of Water

Yesterday was a rainy day so I was happy and I could take this photo

Aw, thanks @yesslife! It has been a minute since I heard from you. By the way, that is a pretty cool rainy photo you took, you should make a post about it!

Do you think I should publish? the truth I like very much should think about what to place in the publication

How's your weekend?

I think you should, maybe submit it to a contest or something. I thought it was a nice picture.
My weekend has been busy haha, and yours?

I think I'll make a publication about it and send it to the contest. Can you guide me how to do it?

My weekend was quiet I stayed at home resting and cooking a little

Hello Friend how are you? I like these photos of cherries they look fresh those water drops make them look good they are good photos so they are very well

These cherries look different I only saw the ones that are red but I have never tried one they are very expensive here

Thank you @andriana! These are probably what they call black cherries this is why they look darker :) Do cherries grow in your region or are they imported?

The truth is that cherries are not very common in my country there is something very close to the cherry good so I see it these are called plums have ever tasted

Michigan and Washington cherries are great. I always get a bag full of them this time of the year!

I agree, when it comes to cherries I am not even picky haha, I love them all! I wanna get those yellow and red kind, last time I had those was probably at least 15 years ago! Kinda crazy to think about it haha

See, I think yellow and red kind are not sweet as the dark red ones. But yeah, I haven't had them in a long time also and want to get some now. lol

The only yellow and red ones I had were from my grandma's garden, I thought they were sweet, kinda like honey especially when you pick them when they're very ripe.
I don't see them in stores often haha

Very delicious😍, i want sis😇

Thank you! You should get some!

hehhe, i am happy today sister, can i contact you on discord ..?

You can talk to me on here :)

I have passed the trial to get my university degree, I am very happy sister

Oh wow, congratulations! Happy for you as well :D

Thank you sis😍😍

I remember picking cherries off my uncle's tree and filling those paper grocery bags back in the day before they used plastic ones! Yum!

When I picked cherries from trees, I usually used buckets, bags were kinda expensive at the time hahaha
