I held two workshops this week in Eger, Hungary and I had the luck to have my accomodation in the historical city center just a few meters away from the castle and the central square of the old district. It was so nice to have an evening walk on the cobble-stone covered lovely streets among the several hundred years old houses. I was just wandering how many people could have walked there before me in the past centuries... I really enjoyed the place, it has a unique and very friendly atmosphere.
This part of the city is dominated by the medieval castle , that is situated on a hill above the houses (unfortunately this was already closed when I got back to my Guest House). There is a nice view to it from the many coffee houses, restaurants and wine shops in the area (this is a wine producing region in Hungary, so there are a lot of wine-tasting places and shops around).
I took these pictures with the camera of my iPhone6 smartphone, hope you like them. 😊
