[Текст на српском] Tuesday, Aug 7, 2018, first day of our journey has moved further away from the high noon. Passing through Podgorica was eerily similar to passing through New Belgrade. So we really had no reason to stop and pull out the glass… But further down to road, we had a brief passing look at the Fort Kosmač…
Upon the arrival to Boka in the early 19th century, Austro-Hungarians recognized the geostrategic position of the Kosmač hill, due to which they organized a border control crew on Montenegro. Shortly thereafter, in 1838, they began to build a fortification, although the border between Montenegro and Austro-Hungary had not yet been defined. Dissatisfied with this, Njegoš's cousin Đorđije Petrović gathered around 500 Katun fighters who attacked and seized Kosmač, which led to the withdrawal of Austro-Hungarians from that area. Only after the demarcation of 1841, when Kosmač joined Austria, they begin to build a fort. The fortress was built in 1841, and in 1860 a barracks and a position for one battery were built in Kosmač, and later a three-side defense barracks were added, which at the time had a crew of 6 officers and 248 soldiers of various specialties. In 1869, in the famous Bokelj uprising, Brajići tried to occupy the fortress, but without success. Today’s appearance of the fortress dates from the early 20th century, ie. 1909. Because of the immediate proximity of the Montenegrin border, it had the role of controlling the border area with other fortifications in this area, and it influenced the prevention of the incursions of Montenegrin forces on the territory of the then Austro-Hungarian Empire.

From our point of view, Fort Kosmač is an announcement… only one more road turn, and we will finally see the Adriatic sea. Budva to the right of the photo, and Bečići to the left…

We are going down and closer to the coast. When we see the island of St. Marko, also known as “Our Lady of Grace”, one of the three islands in a unique series of islands in the Tivat Bay towards Kotor, we know we are very close to our destination — village of Krašići. The length of the island is about 160 meters and the width is 60 meters. It is about 800 meters from the coast. On the island there is the Church of Our Lady of Grace dedicated to St. Mary The Virgin, and monastery originated in the second half of the 15th century.
Behind the island you can see Porto Montenegro, an exclusive marina & yachting paradise as a part of the town of Tivat. It’s built (and is still in under construction) with the richest in mind. It is advertised as “The safest marina in the Mediterranean” — Porto Montenegro's marina has been crafted and built by a team of yachting professionals with an intimate understanding of the needs of captains, crew and owners…

And we are finally at our destination: Cer Street at Krašići, Montenegro.

And now, let’s throw the first look from our terrace to the Bay of Boka Kotorska from the direction we just arrived. Here we can see the Bay of Tivat and Lovćen mountain with the Njegoš Mausoleum on the left peak…

And now let’s run down to the beach and make some use of the last Sun rays…

Trying the waters… Just one swim in the sea on this day will mean that we didn’t lost it in vain. Our @dragannenadic is already 200 meters from the shore :)

I have to say, this is my favorite time for swimming. No burning sunlight and wonderfully warm and pleasant water. And I was not alone in that thinking…

Day is at its end. But there is still time left for an evening beer and a quick phone call to family to inform them we have safely reached our destination. And then a well deserved rest. Tomorrow is going to be an exausting day in Kotor...
