Kuril larch - Iturup Island, Kuril Islands, Russia

This is Kuril larch. Under normal conditions, it grows like a familiar tree, but in the seasons of storms and strong winds the wind blows with such force that the trees need to adjust, otherwise you can remain without branches.

The Kuril larch is divided into two markedly distinct races: southern, grown in the South of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands, and North, common on the sea of Okhotsk coast, Kamchatka and North Sakhalin.
