These are a series of photographs I took in my wife's hometown near Meizhou in China. They depict the abandoned Hakka round houses in the area and some of the things that were left behind when people moved into more modern housing. Although no one lives in these anymore they are still visited during festival times to pay respects to the ancestors as the families ancestral temple is located there.
