We started our trip from Bangkok. Here is some local guy with his street stall taking a nap in the heart of the city.
After couple nights in Bangkok we took a bus and ferry to an island called Koh Tao. This is the main beach there.
We spent nearly a week in Koh Tao just exploring the island by scooter, snorkeling and relaxing. Very beautiful island with superb diving waters. There was smaller island called Koh Nang Yuan nearby and we made a day trip there. Here is a photo from the highest viewpoint in Koh Nang Yuan.
After Koh Tao we took a short ferry ride to an another island just south from Koh Tao, called Koh Phangan. It's famous for its full moon parties, but we weren't there for that. It wasn't full moon and the island was actually rather quiet and relaxed. We witnessed some very beautiful sunsets there, here is a picture of one of those.
The days in Koh Phangan were spent again just exploring the island, snorkeling and simply enjoying the beautifulness of it all. One of the days we drove all the way to the other side of the island, found a cool infinity pool (with no other tourists there) and spent the whole day there. Drove back to our accommodation just before the dark.
After five days in Koh Phangan we decided to fly to Bali, Indonesia for the remainder of the time we had left. Kuta Beach is famous for surfing and indeed we saw many of them! I spent couple days trying to learn surfing for the first time ever and even managed to catch some waves. Here is a picture of guy surfing in Kuta, not me though. I wasn't that good.
Apart from the nice surfing that could be done in Kuta, we didn't really like it that much to be honest. It was full of drunken Australians partying and behaving badly in general. Here is where we witnessed the only traffic accident during our holiday as well, when some Australian blokes hit something and tripped over in one of the packed walking streets. The traffic in general is pretty crazy all over Asia!
Anyway, because Kuta seemed to be mainly for partying, we took a bus inland and went to a city called Ubud. There we saw some wild monkeys, huge rice fields and majestic water falls. Here is a blast of pictures covering it all.
And that's pretty much it! I have hundreds of pictures from this trip so what you see here is only a friction of what we experienced. I encourage everyone who has the possibility to travel and experience the world themselves! Just to wrap it up, here is a bonus picture of my girlfriend in her careless travel look. This one was taken in Koh Phangan, the same day which we spent on the infinity pool.
