Enjoying Flowers And Chickens And The Beautiful September Sunlight

Good Morning to all my new friends, I'm sure having a great day here on #steemit I can't say enough good things about it here.  The atmosphere is amazing, or did I just luck out and find really cool friends in the first few days of joining?  Personally, I think it's a trend of things to come.  So many awakened and compassionate, I'm wondering if this is my new paradise?

I'm also thoroughly impressed with #projectcurie.  I only joined this site last week, and already twice have been asked to verify my identity.  This kind of diligence is Amazing!  If someone were stealing my identity to post here, they would have been SO busted, and quickly too.  Thanks to the team of awesome.

I was also notified by a friend, that a post of mine was featured yesterday by project curie!  I had no clue what that meant, but he showed me in the right direction and WOW~SPEECHLESS.  I'm honoured you think our gardens are that great.  Really the best compliment I could ever receive, Thank you!

So without further ado, here are a few photos I took this morning as I wandered around our little homestead.  No editing.  (Camera: Cannon T2i)

A different wasp than I'm used to seeing.  Do you know the type?

Most of our sunflowers have gone to seed now, except these late bloomers (well they are late because I planted them late haahaa).  These are a different variety than our other sunflowers, they get 4 or 5 flowers per plant.

Here are 2 out of 7 of our precious little angels.  We rescued them a couple months ago from a factory farm.  They truly deserve a whole post, which I am working on.  I just beam seeing them out in nature, the light shining off of their feathers.  They were in such poor condition when they arrived, enough to make a person never buy eggs from the grocery store again.  Heart wrenching, what factory farming is doing to animals.  But now I cry tears of joy as I watch all their "firsts".  They have learned and grown so much.

Relaxing in the morning sun.  On the bare earth, in what we call "The Flower Forest".  Ahhh this is the life.

Nice photos!

Good for you for rescuing those birds. And congrats again for getting selected by Project Curie. That was a great post

:) I wanted to let you know that I threw a bunch of straw into the chicken run, and spread a bit of grain in it. I just had to put the birds in the run (I'd like to not babysit them for a few minutes here while I do some stuff inside) and I look out the window to see them in their glory, scratching around all frisky and crazy. Thanks for the tips. I got a lot out of your article about chickens doing farming for you :) :)

Cool @lyndsaybowes. It really works and makes them happy. Way to go for trying it. Now I'm really beaming.
