The brilliant fowl or Chinese fowl (Chrysolophus pictus) is a gamebird of the request Galliformes (gallinaceous feathered creatures) and the family Phasianidae (birds). The sort name is from Ancient Greek khrusolophos, "with brilliant peak", and pictus is Latin for "painted" from pingere, "to paint".
