The mosaic above the entrance is called Shqipëria (Albania) and was created in 1980. It is about eleven meters high and 40 meters long, it occupies a total of 440 square meters. The mosaic interprets the history of the Albanians as an ongoing fight against everything, with particular emphasis on the "national liberation struggle" during the WW2. The mosaic is also controversial because it follows a communist ideology of historiography. A large red star was removed at the 1990 mosaic.
Photo was taken this morning at around 5:30 ans i have not been to the museum yet.
