Albatrellus cristatus - Hat diameter 30-200 mm, yellowish, yellowish green to olive, yellow - brown, with an uneven edge. An oppressed person may discolor on the olive or greenish side, especially at the edge. Surface dry, smooth, skin-like, with age cracked.

The tubes are initially whitish, later creamy-black, difficult to detach from the pulp, converging on the shaft, from 1-5 mm in length.

Leeks whitish, yellowish or greenish, small, 1-3 x 1 mm.

The stem is short, white to olive yellow, smooth and dry.

The meaty flesh, white, around holes around the larvae can turn olive or greenish. It slowly turns red when under the influence of KOH.

Occurrence: VIII-X in deciduous forests, less often coniferous, under birches, beeches, oaks or spruces, mostly in the mountains.

Value: inedible
