A Head Start Into The Flower Photography Season

in photography •  6 years ago

My wife bought some daffodils and other flowers yesterday. It's too dark in the house to get the best possible pictures so I took the pot outside to porch to take pictures of them. As you can see, it's still very snowy. According to the forecast, the temperature will remain above freezing during the nights, too, in the next ten days. It is six days to spring equinox. The power of the sun will force the ambient temperature to rise enough for all the snow to be gone most likely until the end of March. From the beginning of April, there will be plenty of wild flowers to shoot as well.

It's a great thing I bought a DSLR and a 70-300 mm lens because it is quite easy to use a narrow depth of field to isolate beautiful flowers from often messy backgrounds.

Hey markku!!!! greetings. Nice pictures, I love the intensity of the yellow in them

Good morning from Venezuela, friend. very beautiful flowers. good shot, it would have been good another photo but in the background that patio to see what the matero looks like in the middle of so much snow, The two photos after they are after the matero are very similar the difference is minimal.

Yes a shallow depth of field works wonders! My house is always a mess, so it perfect!
