Drove Home Today Via Hämeenlinna

I drove home from Tampere today. It took me longer than the usual two hours because took a 25 km longer route via Hämeenlinna. I took a couple of lake pictures in Parola just north of the town of Hämeenlinna after which I drove to the castle in Hämeenlinna and took more pictures. I made them black and white because that's how I felt. This type of drab, overcast and slushy weather with dog poop and yesteryear's rubbish being exposed from under the snow is usually a thing of late March in this part of the country but it's been a warmer than average February. On to my pictures from along the drive.

Häme Castle, the oldest parts of which are about 700 years old.

Those cross-shaped iron hooks on the walls are a typical medieval feature.
