Imaginative Photography #15

 Look at these very different pictures! While most of my Fine Art Photos are done at night with just the lights that are around, I thought I would try something different. These pictures are from a normal photo and the only thing I did in Photoshop was to invert them and increase the saturation. I think it gives them an eerie, surreal feeling. 

The first picture was taken at South Beach in Miami. I love this Park Central Hotel, it is a great place to stay with easy access to all that South Beach has to offer!

Horses taking people for a ride in Central Park, New York. Look at the horse on the left getting something to eat from the feed bag and the pigeons trying to get anything that falls out.

Here is a container ship leaving the Port of Savannah, Georgia.  If you like watching ships, Savannah is a great place to do it. They have a boardwalk along the riverfront with the ships going right by you.  There are several great hotels on the riverfront. The one I like the best is the Savannah Marriott Riverfront. If you are on the 4th or 5th floor, it is a very strange feeling to see a big ship going by at your eye level right outside your room!

This picture is of the Bixby Creek bridge in the Big Sur area of California. It was during the construction of this bridge that a group of California Sea Otters, thought to be extinct, were found. Fur traders in the 1920's and 30's had hunted them to near extinction, but because of the remote and rugged area of the Bixby Creek, they were unable to get the Otters there.  There were about 50 of them found in the mouth of the creek on the Pacific Ocean.  Environmentalists got protection for the Otters and now there are more than 3,000 and growing.  

This is a picture of Alcatraz in San Francisco Bay. It looks even more ominous with the picture done this way. What is your favorite movie made about Alcatraz?

All my pictures are from one capture and nothing is computer generated, except where noted. Then it is only an inversion or an increase in saturation only, not a change to the actual content of the picture.
