The bastions of Gdańsk

in photography •  7 years ago

Take a look at the map of Gdańsk, Poland and you will notice a six ramparts to the south and south-east of the city. These are what remain of the defences dating to the early seventeenth century. There is a path that goes around them. You can either walk or cycle.

From the top of bastion Żubr you get a great view of Gdańsk.

The Kamienna Śluza provided access to the centre of the city.

A walk around these ramparts will take about 30 minutes and is well worth it.

I used a Nikon D700 with 28 mm and 50 mm prime-lenses. The photos where shot in raw and edited with Darktable. If you like my pictures, I invite you to visit my Flickr profile
