Greetings, travelers!
As stated in this post:
Lookin' Up is a series of photos I've been working on since 2019, and its concept isn't complex at all, nor that much original, but I love taking photos upwards for as long as I can remember; and that's the main thing between all of them: they're pointing up, in a normal vector to the ground.
The theme really got a different poetic meaning when the events of 2020 happened, and it got really difficult to look up to the future. Some of the photos of that time really stick out in my memory, with a mixed filter of nostalgia and trauma.
The photos above, are now available on Shutterstock and are from the Tree Branches series of Lookin'Up.
These are some of the first intent-driven photos I have taken looking up. Back in August of 2020, when these photos were taken, the reality that we'd still have to wait at least some 10 months until we could have a vaccine was dauntingly scary, and having to face the fact that I needed to try to complete the courses I was enrolled in that semester of my graduation seemed close to impossible.
However, walking around and looking up has always been something that calmed me down and helped me focus. So that's what I did.
I hope you enjoy the photos, and I wish you all a very nice week! Cheers :)
