Hello everyone,
On our fifth day we woke up at 9 o’clock and then ate breakfast. Then we drove for 1 hour till we got to the parking lot at the base of Mt. Gausta. When we arrived we were surprised that we did not find a parking spot, so we needed to park 200m from the parking lot. At the beginning of the trail the path was very crowded but it got better after a while since we past a lot of slow people.
The terrain was very rocky so we were jumping from rock to rock.
We were lucky that it was a little bit cloudy because it would be very hot otherwise since there was no shade of any kind. At the top (what we thought was the top) it was very windy. The view was fantastic. It seemed as if you could see the whole Norway.
At the top we ate some waffles with strawberry jam. Later we found out that the top of the mountain was actually one more hour away from where we were but not a lot of people go there since it is a little bit more technical. I really wanted to go to the actual top but we did not have time. After we got back to the car we headed to the gas station and then to the store. At our lodging we ate and then went to sleep.
On our sixth day we woke up at 7 o’clock and then headed to a parking lot at the base of Roan. It took us 90 minutes to get there. At the beginning of the trail we had to cross a river by jumping from rock to rock.
(sorry for the picture I do not know why it is like this)
After that the trail took us through a forest full of blueberrys, they were delicious.
The trail was surrounded by small rivers and lakes.
The view was again fantastic and we haven’t even reached the top yet.
30 minutes before we got to the top it became very windy.
( again sorry for the picture )
At the top of the mountain we ate our sandwiches while enjoying the beautiful view.
After we got to the car we drove for 90 more minutes till we got to our lodging where we ate. We needed to go to bed very soon because we needed to wake up very early the next day.
I hope you liked the post.
