With turquoise-colored water nestled between beautiful alpine mountains and a excellent glacier as the backdrop, Garibaldi Lake is one of the most scenic destinations in British Columbia. It is accessible from the Rubble Creek parking lot just south of Whistler, the gorgeous hike begins at the wooden steps along the top part of the parking lot. The first 6 km of trail is a gradual uphill climb through dense forests of Douglas Fir. At times, the trail can seem like it goes on forever, however, keep on moving as the reward will be well worth the effort you take to hike it. Shortly after the 6 km mark, you will reach a junction with a map of the area surrounding you. Taking a right takes you directly to the Garibaldi Lake, the perfect option for those who may be short on time or want a short hike.
