Singkil Swamp Forest is a coastal swamp forest area located on the west coast of Aceh. This area has a bottle-like shape in which its neck culminates in the northern part. The western part is bordered by white sand beaches bordering the Indian Ocean which is a shelter for turtles. The east and south borders the Alas River, while the north is bounded by the Trumon River. Until recently, the neck of the Rawa Singkil bottle linked it to the limestone and curved Cretaceous forests and formed a natural corridor as a cross-country migration of large animals such as deer, bears, tigers, orangutans, wau-wau and so on. This corridor is known by the name of Correct Singkil Bengkung (Leuser Development Program, 1995). The Singkil Swamp was formed after the Toba eruption some 75,000 years ago. .
