James River Black and White photography

I am going through one of photography and I found this pics.  

They bring back some memories.  They were photographed about 12 years ago with my first digital SLR.  I was so excited to be in the world of digital photography.  These are some shots from the James River here in Richmond, VA.

    Nice shot with the reflection in the water. Wasn't 12 years ago around the time they had the big flood in Richmond?

    There was a big hurricane around that time. This shot looks like this because of the open shutter speed. This definitely isn't a flooded James River. With a flooded James, you don't see the rocks or the island the tree is on.
