The GORGEOUS contrast of the Canola Seed field against a Humid, Summer storm approaching is absolutely #breathtaking!

here in Manitoba, Canada; Canola Seed fields are 1 of MANY. Driving along our prairie highways, it is 100% a sight to see!

Canola, is Canada's "oil". It gets it's name from "CAN" (Canada) and "OLA" (Oil), trademarked in 1970. The yellow flowers produce seed pods about 5CM in length. When the plant is ready to harvest, the plant changes color from green to light yellow and the tiny seeds are crushed to create … CANOLA :)

Depending on temperature, moisture, rain fall, sunlight and soil grade, Canola takes about 3.5 months to grow with cool nights and hot humid days. More then 43,000 farmers, farm Canola & 90% of it is transported throughout the entire WORLD bringing back about $11.4 MILLION to the country's economy!

so the next time you use your canola oil for anything, remember it came from a beautiful country by hard working farmers tryna make a dolla!

XOXO,MM
