Nature Photography - The Sunrise Of Andalucia

Living in Andalucia at the moment over the winter is exciting for a nature lover like me. Every year around Fall, we come here to escape cold Central Europe. I like it here tho if only it isn´t too much hassle to fly everytime. I have to prepare our homebase and see that everything is in order since we are coming back only around Spring which is still be very cold and sometimes still snowing. I remember some years back, the Energy company changed the metering system into digital and they also had to fix something inside the house, but we were here in Southern Spain at that time. When we came back, the house was very very cold and it took us 3 days to warm up the house. Good thing was, we were able to arrange an appointment with the energy company 2 hours after we landed at the airport.

The Sunrise

In this post , I would like to share with you the beauty of the andalucian sunrise in our area. The house we have is on the hills surrounding the Torrox Pueblo which is about 4 km from the Mediterranean Sea . And the sun rises from the East towards the West at the end of the day. It is really beautiful to be waking up and see the sunrise daily at breakfast . I am usually up at around 8 :00 AM, the time when the first rays of the sun show up on top of the hill.

The sun rises up so quickly, actually in just a matter of a minute. Even if the skies are so full of dark clouds like on the day these images were taken, its rays transformed the clouds into great balls of fire. And when the sun was up and higher than the clouds, it became so dark again and rain eventually made a landfall. After the rain, it´s like a cycle, the skies and the Med Sea bacame blue again.
