THE BUSIEST CROSSING IN THE WORLD | Shibuya Crossing Japan, Tokyo

With more than 2000 people crossing every time the light turns green, Shibuya scramble crossing is a magical place in Tokyo.

Rumoured to be the busiest intersection in the world (and definitely in Japan), Shibuya Crossing, is like a giant beating heart, sending people in all directions with every pulsing light change.

Perhaps nowhere else says ‘Welcome to Tokyo’ better than this.

Hundreds of people cross at a time, coming from all directions at once yet still managing to dodge each other with a practised, nonchalant agility.

The area is also surrounded by the number of shopping centers, offices and other places of interests such as the NHK Broadcasting Center and the Yoyogi Park. No wonder the scramble crossing is one of Tokyo’s busiest.
