This daily moment was witnessed on a bejeweled lake nestled in the Superior National Forest of Minnesota. As I skied along its surface, virgin snow sparkled in the afternoon sunlight. The scene inspired me to pause, breathe deeply, feel gratitude, and finally snap a shot to share.

It was cold and windy on the lake. The temperature was approximately 7F or -14C. I was well bundled and stayed warm by moving. Growing up in the midwest, I'm very familiar with snow. I imagine you would enjoy experiencing it in person, as long as you didn't freeze :) I appreciate your thoughtful comment! Nature's sparkles are captivating.
