Wow, you caught a great sequence of photos there (the low cloud not withstanding)

I see what you mean about being really bright, with so many celestial events taking place in recent years; one can't help but wonder if it's an omen ;-)

It looked like daytime! @westley-nash interesting that you think it may be an omen of some kind. What do you have in mind.

I'm not entirely sure, but hopefully something good... Although it's kind of a good / bad thing where omens are concerned, what with being both a blue and a blood moon, so I guess it could go either way :)

Dang it, you just reminded me about this moon. Kicks Self

Okay, now that I have that out of the way, let me say thank you for taking such beautiful pictures so I didn't have to miss it totally. :D

I was pleased with the photographs under the circumstances. Fumbling about in the pitch black was a bit panic inducing lol

hello my good friend you are so lucky to be photographing a natural phenomenon today hopefully you continue to be lucky @molometer I also had time to see him. but in my place was the incident of the beginning of the night entrance then I can not I take his picture maybe because the dark is night

Thank you Putra, it was a lucky set of circumstances for sure. I had just a few minutes before the cloud covered it. The moon is now high up and very clear.
Here are the full camera settings. Plus a couple in bulb mode.

means wherever you go you are ready with his camera

It is very good in low light conditions. The big 30mm Sigma lens picks up the faintest light. Great for night photography.

Wow!Super blue blood moon by the lake.Must have been quite a sight.I got lucky to see clearly the eclipse too yesterday.Sadly the pictures didn't come out great.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get any photos bit at least you got to see it live. It's quite tricky to photograph the moon as it travels so fast. Long exposures usually end up just blurs.

Wow, this is excellent!

Thanks for sharing!

Cheers!

Thanks, it was pretty awesome and even more so because it was so unexpected.

Great shots! It was too cloudy here to see it, so thanks for showing it to me!

My pleasure Melinda, it was just dumb luck. Right place right time

I love when that happens! You captured it so well!

very beautiful moon amazing

Thanks Peter, I'm a little fascinated with the moon.

How coyld you steadily take all these photos...wow.l love them all..it is beautiful and thanks @molometer

I use a gorilla tripod. Helps to get steady photos.

That is really bright.

Like daytime!
