    There are several reasons: 1. Purchasing a car in the US that is automatic versus gear is not significant. 2. You can take your driving lessons and test with an automatic car. 3. The saving in gas with a gear car for a US native is not significant enough to purchase a gear vehicle. Lastly driving gear sucks especially in heavy traffic!
