Romanesco broccoli internal structure

As a followup to my last post about the Romanesco broccoli, I thought I'd cut it in half and reveal its internal structure.

But first, here are a couple of extra photos of the external structure.

I was a little disappointed that the inside wasn't quite as detailed or as fractal as the outside, but it's still quite interesting to see how it all holds together...
