Sunrise At The Dead Sea Part 3 - Dead Sea Shore

About two weeks ago I went on a wonderful trip to the Dead Sea to take pictures of the sunrise.

@nv21089 and I took pictures of the sunrise and then visited the Ein Bokek Nature Reserve.

After our walk in the reserve we decided to find a nice secluded shore of the Dead Sea so I can show him the natural slow accumulation of salt crystals on various surfaces.

We managed to find such a shore a long way from the hotels and the more touristy area of the Dead Sea. Here are some of the pictures I took:

The water was as clear as glass.

You can see salt crystals buildup on the thin branches of this bush. The water is very clear and some salt structures can be seen on the bottom as well.

This isn't foam. It's all salt buildup, encrusted over pebbles and branches.

This is a large salt crystal that @nv21089 broke off and positioned in sunlight. We thought it looked a bit like a crown so we took the picture.

And so our trip to the Dead Sea came to a close. We plan on taking other photography trips in the future and I'll be happy to share the results with you all.
