Some of yesterday's celebrations at the beach of Jumeirah Beach Residences watching the fireworks of Ain Dubai aka Dubai Eye, and the Palm Jumeirah:

I should admit that I wasn't in the perfect spot for taking photos, arrived moments before the countdown and it was already overpacked. The photos with fireworks in the distance, those are of the manmade island Palm Jumeirah.
