Buah jernang merupakan sebuah buah-buahan yang sangat langka dan jauh dari tempat yang berpenduduk mayoritas masyarakat biasa, buah jernang biasanya kita jumpai di perbukitan atau hutan lebat dan jauh dari permukiman warga.
Buah jernang biasanya masyarakat Aceh mencarinya dengan memakan waktu yang lama kadang harus menempuh perjalanan berminggu-minggu untuk memperoleh buah jernang ini dan harganya lumayan bagus dipasaran.
