Hello Steemians!

Aside from Bondi beach, Manly is probably the second most heard of beach in Sydney. Grace - @photooftheday - and I set off for afternoon adventure to see what the ocean would be like.

When we got there, the beach was just as we expected it to be, beautiful and calming.

Not many people were swimming due to the chilly temperature of water, however there were still quite a number of people on the beach. We found a section with no one on it and I took this shot as the sun steamed through the nearby pine trees.

Heading back into the centre of Manly, there were huge amounts of people out and about. Many were shopping or heading to local pubs, cafes or restaurants to grab a meal and cold drink. As for Grace and myself, we just wanted some cider and a few tapas before our dinner.

We ended up choosing a place right on the beach called The Pantry. It was elevated above Manly beach and offered great views over the ocean.

Looking out from our table next to the window, I watched a group of people playing with a frisbee. By now the sun was setting which produced some stunning color.

The color proved to be a great background for our water bottle! I think this sort of light makes everyday objects beautiful, don't you think?

Finally our ciders and food arrived and gosh everything was so tasty! Our battered zucchini flowers and buttery garlic prawns were the perfect complement to nature's end of the day light show.
