City Lights

Late evening drives are something that I always enjoy. The city is shimmering in lights and everything looks bright and colorful. Around 2 weeks back we had Independence Day celebrations and for that the whole city was lit up in tri-color lights, which are the colors of our Indian Flag. The lights are not yet removed in some parts of the city and they still keep lighting up every night and glowing up the city.

Normally after dinner, me and hubby like to go for a drive sometimes. So, this was during our drive that I got a chance to click these pictures. This is the Sea Link road. It is one of the best roads of the city, where one can really drive without any signals and traffic congestion. There is a toll charge on this road so it does not get jammed up.

All the light pillars on this road are lit up in Orange white and green lights, the color of our Flag. It looks very pretty

This is the only city road where you can zoom your car at any given time in the day. The road is open but yet the maximum speed to drive here is 80km/hr and anyone going above that gets captured in the camera and there is a fine.

Most of the lights are removed now but these still remain, hope they keep this for a long time, it looks very attractive and gives a good show to the place.
