Woke up this morning to find this hawk on my fire escape eating breakfast. I sipped my tea as I watched him tear is prey apart with his beak and talons. What a beautiful creature. He saw me and heard me but he was not bothered, like a boss! He has been hanging out on my fire escape all morning, more than a hour now just basking in the sun. Birds of prey are one of my spirit animals, they have great vision and the freedom of flight.
