Save Lauser Save the Planet

@Aceh Province, in particular @Aceh Southeast recently has become a subscription to Banjir Bandang and Landslide. The government is still working on the consequences and preventing the floods from happening again.

However, this problem has not been handled yet, I was surprised by the fact that Leuser Ecosystem Area (KEL) was no longer protected. The great danger awaits us and our descendants. This danger begins when the Aceh Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) 2013-2033 has been endorsed by the Aceh government, without entering the Laoser Ecosystem Area (KEL) into the National Strategic Area.

Leuser Ecosystem Area is a buffer for the life of the people of Aceh. Millions of lives depend on forests in the region for clean water, Agriculture, Fisheries and Other Industries. The Lauser ecosystem is the only place on planet Earth where rare animals such as Elephants, Rhinos, Orangutans and Sumatran Tigers are in one habitat. In fact, this time began to build roads through the forest.

Mining sprung up on the mountain. Plantation business permits thousands of hectares published on the right left. Potential corruption bursts. The forest where indigenous peoples @Aceh live for generations is threatened to perish. Our rivers dry up, except when the water comes as a flood and causes a landslide. Leuser as a symbol of the welfare of the people of Aceh and world heritage is being threatened.

Whereas As Known, actor and environmental activist, Leonardo DiCaprio invites all parties to support the efforts of Aceh residents to save the Leuser Ecosystem by petitioning to President Jokowi and his staff, including the Aceh Government.

In his twitter account, Thursday (3/11/2016) at 02:34, Leonardo wrote; "Let's support the people of Aceh's effort to #SaveLeuserEcosystem, home to urangutans, elephants, tigers, and more". Since written, cuitan has been dirged as much as 644 times and favored by 1666 twitter users.

The Save the Leuser Ecosystem, Save Our Planet petition was submitted by Acehnese, Dahlan M Isa, through the Change.org website. The petition was addressed to the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, Minister of Home Affairs, Tjahjo Kumolo, Aceh Governor Zaini Abdullah and Chairman of DPRA Muharudin.

The petition calls for the Government to run Kepmendagri No.650-441 / 2014, by canceling the Aceh RTRW 2013-2033 which excludes the Leuser Ecosystem Area into the National Strategic Area. It is said that this cancellation will be a very important starting point for the preparation of the RTRW that takes into account the interests of the people of Aceh. To date, 68,147 such supporters have been recorded.
