"Grass-in-the-cracks." Little bits of weeds growing out of cracks in a cobblestone lane, defying man's attempt to control nature once again. The grass comes out of those little cracks, saying "you can't stop me." At least that is how I feel when I see nature (especially plants and horticulture) giving a middle finger to us.
Nature always wins. If you want more proof of this, check out "North Brother Island." It is a perfect example of what happens when humanity abandons a once inhabited area for good. If you have ever wondered what would happen if all of humanity died, check out New York City's desert island- "North Brother Island." Someday, will the world look like that?
