A Sliver of History...Trains.

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

As I approached the train station I smelled a combination of burned oil, cedar wood, and steel. This smell was reminiscent of the “good old” locomotives that would traverse to and from transporting passengers and many other commodities. Well, sadly, those old fashioned trains are almost obsolete in our current technological age. There are fewer trains and train stations that transport people. The days of fetching a newspaper and coffee while relaxing in the train station (without a smart phone, laptop, and Wi-Fi) are almost history.

These are some pictures that were taken of a train station. As you look at these pictures place yourself within them to experience an old sliver of history that is fading away.
