I never heard of having to purchase a ticket to attend Christmas Eve Mass or any other mass at the St. Peters Basilica in Rome. Tickets are free if one plans in advance. Some bad seeds are trying to make a buck!

See here for how to get your tickets for free next time you visit Rome. You fill out a .pdf form and fax it to the Prefettura Vaticana. Details in link below:

Btw, I didn't have to pay a cent either! @dandays✝️

@ninahaskin. Ah yes, yes, yes! St Peters Basilica is free, you can stand in the court yard for free. To go inside, tickets are required and it’s said you have to get them several months in advance.

Where there’s profit off religion, I just choose to avoid the whole location, even if there is a section roped off for us peasants. 😉 We did go by the Pantheon last night, though, just to see what’s happening and wouldn’t you know.... Gotta have tickets there, too.

Offerta!

edit again. I’m going through here and wondering where this got confusing and realize my emotion came through a little loudly. I try to keep my God fearing, Jesus is my best friend, and every day is his birthday with Pura and I opinion regarding religion(s) to myself but it cane through a little bit and I should’ve said ‘access’ instead of ‘purchase’ tickets. God bless you, Nina, Merry Christmas!

Sadly, religion and money go hand in hand.
Religion and faith are free.

I only mentioned the link because at the end of the televised Christmas Eve Mass the commentator gave details about how to get free tickets to attend mass. Then I googled.

What's the weather like in Rome this time of year?

Merry Christmas! 🎁🛷🎄

(I had to do a little editing on my last one) Before I forget, have you ever checked out my ‘location’ on my profile here? The timing couldn’t be better actually.

Thank God it’s not too cold! I have a lot of metal in my leg and the cold really F’s me up! Either that or I’m just really addicted to LA weather! <— kidding. No, really, the cold can hurt, specifically that white stuff that falls from the sky sometimes. Thankfully none of that here. Our plan ‘was’ to stay south and stay warm for the winter but had to cancel Croatia and wherever even more south of that to get Pura some medical. And where is that, of all places?? England! Danget!! Where it gets even colder than here.

It’s sweater and a vest weather in the day, maybe a scarf to feel comfortable but I end up loosening it up. Sweater and jacket at night can prove to be a bit much depending what you’re doing. That’s a really long way of saying “about 47’ish.” Ha!!

Way to end your comments with a question, Nina! I dig your style. Or maybe I should’ve said “how long you been ending your comments with a question? I dig your style.”
