There are allegations that two sisters of Marma community have been raped in Bilaimhari of Rangamati. These incidents took place on January 22 in the hill village of Araachari in Farua union under Bilaichari upazila of the district.

It is known that on the day of the incident, miscreants tried to rape the elder sister and rape the younger sister in the village. After this incident, massive brawl and agitation of the district were created. According to the latest High Court order, on February 15, two sisters were handed over to the safety of their parents, police said. Meanwhile, the hearing of an appeal filed in the High Court on their security will be held on Thursday.

On January 23, the two women of Marma were admitted to the Rangamati General Hospital. After the medical and medical examination, the court ordered them to be guarded on February 15 on their parents' instructions. Presently, all of the family are said to be staying safely at the house of Takhanga, a former member of the district council in Patharghata area of ​​Rangamati.

Police Superintendent Said Tariqul Hassan said the two sisters were given custody of their parents in support of law enforcement agencies in the court order. Currently the security of the family has been kept under constant surveillance
