Athabasca Falls Near Jasper, Alberta Canada

in photography •  8 years ago

Last summer we visited Jasper National Park with my family.

We stopped at Athabasca Falls which are amazing. The weather was not perfect and photos aren't so bright. Sorry for that.

But I only post my original photos.

Snow was melting up in the mountains and the river was quite big and water should be blue. Maybe this year if we go there.

Enjoy those two nice canyons.

Famous Athabasca falls. That rock formation in the middle of the river distracts my concentration. Almost miss the falls.

No squirrel - no post.

Somebody forgot to shut off a date on the camera. Don't look at me.

Hi @oldtimer,
Looks like that would make for some amazing white water rafting.

Wait, they critter in the last picture is running with your acorn get him!
Best,
Isaac

You don't want to go over that waterfall in a raft, believe me. Thank God for google. I can just copy-past my squirrel, ha,ha. Thanks for stopping by.

Good stuff man. I been up that way on 4-5 trips. Canada 🇨🇦 is some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen......and I live in Colorado!

That's quite a compliment for Alberta and Canada. Thanks.

These are some great shots, I didn't even notice the date until you said something. lol ,Its crazy how pretty nature really is.

I hate dates on photographies. It's always fun to guessing later on when you browsing your albums. Ind you never guess.

i think those pictures are great. specially the stairway to heaven... keep doing it. hope to see more from you

Wowzers and I live in the land of Alberia and I still have not seen this!!

Loving all great Canadian photo showcases man!

Thanks. It's easy when the country is great.

I have some amazing shots of this frozen over. Love these though!

Look at that rock formation on your post @oldtimer, those rock layer takes thousand of years in the process. Perfect place to relax and feel the presence of nature. I wish I could bring my family in that place too.

I'm enjoying the photo tours you've taken us on so far. Keep on going @oldtimer. I was thinking about how long it would take to chisel out those stairs. Looks like they did it correctly.

I'm not sure, but I think they're made of concrete.

That would make more sense. lol

very nice fantastic images sir ur work is brilliant

What a striking collection of photos. I am also a keen nature photographer down in Costa Rica
Following you for more inspiration

The Athabasca falls with the mountains in the background is the subject of a postcard - beautiful shots.

I am intrigued by the rock formations and ripples along the edge of the rocks - I guess that is from water erosion?

Great shots. The layered rock looks very primordial! Was that a prehistoric squirrel scampering away on the log?

Nature at its best. Those rocks are marvelous.

all shot good near albano sure a beautifull place and wonderfull photos

I love how you tell the story in pictures. Looks like a great place to visit!

I had never heard of that place before, but it sure looks fantastic. I just Googled it to see on a map where it was located. It is difficult to capture the magnificence on a camera.

Amazing shot my friend :D

Lovely!

Absolutely beautiful. Almost could taste the fresh air looking at the pictures.

I was going to stop at Athabasca Falls earlier this month but it was so busy there that people were parked on the road. I decided to skip it and go back when it is hopefully less busy. Always love photos of the falls and Jasper Area!

Well as well as
