Fort Edmonton Park

We all want to spend some quality time outside before the winter comes.
Last weekend weather was not perfect, but a couple of raindrops didn't spoil our plans.

I want to thank my visitors who force me out of my den. They showed me that Edmonton is full of surprises.

We start our journey at Fort Edmonton train station.

First, we jumped on a real steem, sorry, I mean steam machine.

You're welcome.

love these kind of locations they always look so lush and green. Don't see fences constructed like that in my neck of the woods

It's more like a Museum. That's why.

Awesome! Canada is lovely

You right, it is. What about your country?

Amazing post Enjoy yourself befeore winter:)
Vey beautiful post really awesome
Resteemed

Thanks.

So cool... love the quaint retro vehicles! Glad you had a good time in the great outdoors. I'm actually about to walk out the door to do the same, lol. In the mountains of NC! It's a pretty warm day so I want to go enjoy it before fall is in full swing.

Good plan. Enjoy!

i like this old school atmosphere, thing old train, buildings it all got feeling of old times

Me too. But I like to visit other places if I can. Like Dubai for instance. I enjoyed both and collected some great memories for old years. Thanks for the comment. Steem on.

Wow that steam train is awesome. Can't believe it is still running in such good shape. The old truck for touring could get rough on the cobblestones but still looks like fun.

I'm not sure about the truck, but the train is really in good shape and it's caring passengers on a round trip through the park.

Nice!

Soo relaxing !

That's one awesome old-school looking train! :D

I like it too. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to take a ride. Maybe next time.

Yeah, would have been cool to see the inside :)

Some photos are like taken in the old Western movie :) Just Cowboys are missing.

You right. Actually, there were actors who represent the real life at that time. But more like people and merchants who live in the city. Stay tuned for more. You can also google Fort Edmonton Park to get the impression how it's designed if you want.

Thanks, It really looks like complete product. Events must be nice also.

That second building, Train, And the last jeep is looks pretty old and they are very beautiful. Winter is about to start India may in the couple months. What about there?

Last week we had the hottest day of the year and this morning was around zero Celsius and first frost on the windshield of my car. It can go really fast here. We hope for another month of fall, but winter can surprise us any day from now on.

Old is gold.....

Really liked the format of your post, it seems as if i was there with you. Will try in my next post. Thanks

Good day @oldtimer I really enjoy your posts, especially travelling around Alberta. I mean it looks like a story, with so soft good quality photos. Keep it up!

I've been planning to visit Edmonton some day. What is the best time to do outdoors around Edmonton? I mean good weather, not too much rain, etc?

July, August, and September are good. There is not much rain here.

Thanks @oldtimer I will definitely consider this when planning my trip.

Wow so nice and beautiful place to spend vacation, so relaxing and peaceful.
Can't believe still steam engine exist in Canada.

@oldtimer,
Wow that train! Is it still running :O Great photography and thank you very much for sharing this amazing experience with us!

Cheers~

I like this old train :)

It seems like people are really putting in a lot of effort to preserve the old in Edmonton . For me I really like that a lot. It's a gift to be able to still experience the history of a place.

Stay in touch. I'll post some more photos this coming week.

Alright ! Looking forward to it :)

Travelling is always fun! The train looks so fascinating. I guess you had a beautiful time there. keep on smiling. And thanks for sharing your beautiful journey

This takes me back, i visited Fort Edmonton 30 years ago when i was 14 on y first holiday to Canada from the UK. I was sad on my second visit 10 years ago to find the yellow submarines in the mall no longer working.

damm this was perfect it was great seeing your post today once again loved the pics :)

I also love it when visitors come to town and I get the chance to enjoy the attractions in my area! nice post @oldtimer

Fort Edmonton really takes you back into time. I was there once so far. You can actually take the streetcar from downtown Edmonton all the way to the Fort Edmonton. So cool!

I enjoyed the small stores with authentic products for sale by actors. Great experience.

Bossman!

You always have that sweet good time! I envy you lolz:P

How did you like us winning the FIBA Championship 25year in the making?:)

I saw a couple of posts about that. Here we have different sports and in general, Canadians don't pay attention what is happening in Europe. Besides that, we are 8 hours behind you. I wasn't big sports fan even when I lived there.

hahah I'm saying the same thing lolz nobody cares about Europe, lolz

Well even tho not a fan, I hope you move enough to keep in shape:)

Seems like a vintage Tour with a great experience :)

Good old Fort Edmonton! :)
Thanks @oldtimer for stirring up some elementary school memories.
