The Summer is officially over but the weather is still great with clear skies and temperatures around 26 degrees Celsius.
We are not in the hurry to return back to Canada at the moment. In Edmonton, the temperatures fell below zero and they already got the first load of snow.
Unbelievable.
Here are some random shots from Soča valley to stay in touch with summer for a while.
The river is low in August and September and sand is all we can see from this angle.
A hundred years ago there were almost no bushes and trees. Just grass. Industrialization almost destroyed farming.
Tourism is on a rise every year.
Fishing is one of the sports.
Fountain on old square in Tolmin.
Napoleon's bridge near Kobarid.
The sun lit the bridge perfectly but we can't see the emerald color of the river.

Or maybe it's on the hunt for fallen sweet apples.
Man is struggling but the river color is the main topic of this photo.
It looks like he missed the target for a step or two but I was a witness that was not the truth.
He was precise on target.

Yes, I can believe that. It is good for the country, but bad for the environment. I don't think that the Soča Valley can cope with much more people during high season. But all beautiful locations are like this, I think.

I love Napoleon's bridge and of course the blue water of the river! I can't believe the weather has already dropped to zero and you had your first snow back home. That is very discouraging going from summer directly to winter with no Autumn and no indian summer!
